Join us for a fun workshop and learn how to make your own silver 'highly heated' or 'reticulated' pendent at Hove Jewellery Works. A jump ring will then be added so your uniquely textured pendant can be added to a chain. This class is ideal for beginners and those who would like to refresh their jewellery knowledge. Each student will be guided through the making process using hand tools and jewellery making equipment. Under the guidance of your experienced tutor you will learn the following skills - reticulation (heating) forming (hammering, doming and shaping) soldering pickling texturing filing papering (finishing process) polishing All students will start the day with a piece of silver sheet. You will then learn how to repeatedly heat or 'reticulate' for a unique effect, cut your desired shape and file, polish and solder a jump ring so you can add your pendant to a chain. All students will leave the session with a wonderfully textured and finished necklace, made for themselves or as a handmade gift to someone special. We use recycled silver where possible. Please note this is an adult only class. On the Day - The class will be a duration of up to 3 hours. Prior to the class we will send you a welcome letter and induction form via email. This will contain all the things you will need for the day. We look forward to meeting you.
